Banquet reminder
If you haven't RSVP for the banquet there is still time but you need to do it ASAP. Please email the contact person in the link and send out your form and payment so she knows to expect your reply.

Traveling Team Auditions
Auditions for all traveling events except EXS will be held on Monday, April 11th at 5:30 in room 316 (Elizabeth's practice room) Students will give 2 minutes of their speech from this year. Auditions will be very short and students will be dismissed as soon as they are done.
The traveling team practices in the fall with communication via email in the summer. There are four tournaments scheduled.
Roosevelt - Des Moines, IA mid October
Warrior - Sioux Falls, SD first weekend in November
Hornet - Edina second week in November
Glenbrooks - Chicago third week in November
Students pay per tournament and the cost is generally 200$ with Glembrooks closer to 350$.

We had a great showing in a very hard district this year!
Congrats to Matias who took 3rd in EXS and will be competing at state!
Congrats to Saumya and Henry who were on a three way tie for 1st. After the breaks took third and will also be competing at the state tournament.

Sections - April 6th, Eastview
Sections this year will be held on Wednesday, April 6th at Eastview High School. A few reminders about this tournament that is different than others.
Scripts - We need copies of your cut piece/written piece and the original source. If you competed at the National Qualifying Tournament and have NOT made additional changes then I have it. If not we need those Monday at practice. (sharing it in Google Drive does not count)
Oratory - Must have bibliography as well as word count of QUOTED material.
Great Speeches - Must state where the speech was found.
Poetry - Must state all titles and authors within their piece.
Info - Must have cited Visuals on their boards that are large enough to be seen.
BUS - EHS and VV will be dismissed at 12:30 with the Bus leaving at 12:45. SV will be dismissed at 12:45 with the bus leaving at 1:00. You must be in competition attire upon boarding the bus. BRING HOMEWORK AND PACK FOOD FOR THIS TOURNAMENT!!!!!
ALL STUDENTS WILL RETURN TO EHS AFTER THE TOURNAMENT. WE HOPE TO BE HOME BY 10:30PM
