Beginning of the 2015-2016 Edina Forensic Season

Speech season may seem far off into the future, but in reality it is just around the corner.

We will be having a preseason tournament schedule again this year.  If you are interested and did not attend the Hornet Speech Mini - Camp please email the speech account to learn about how you may compete in those tournaments.

We are having several fundraisers this season and the first will be on August 22nd.  Many of you have hear buzz of this but for those of you that haven't we will be hosting a Talkathon at the Galleria.   Please be watching for emails with more information in the following days.

There is a tentative schedule for the season added to the blog as well.  The schedule has the preseason dates, fundraiser dates, and competition season for you to plan ahead.

Banquet Reminders

The banquet is Monday, April 20th at 6:00PM.

Students-

For the banquet we want the students looking their best. Please "Dress to Impress!" Everyone will be speaking at the banquet so we want you dressed up! NO JEANS AND T-SHIRTS. besides we all know you own a suit at the very least!

This is a very special time where we will gather to remember and reflect on the year.  We can't wait to see you all there! 

Leadership Positions for 2015-2016

All students who wish to hold a leadership role will need to fill out the form and complete their reflection statement by April 10th. This is true for students who held positions this year as well as new students that would like to have a leadership role. We will have Co-Captains as well as event and novice captains. You will need to print off or save the form and share it with the speech account or email it by April 10th.

The Banquet

The banquet is approaching and we are looking to recognize and showcase students who have participated on the speech and debate team this year.

Congrats to all who competed. This year has been full of ups and downs with big and small success.  I think the big wins feel amazing but it is the small success that keeps moving us forward!  We are so proud of all of you!
