Leadership Positions for 2015-2016

All students who wish to hold a leadership role will need to fill out the form and complete their reflection statement by April 10th. This is true for students who held positions this year as well as new students that would like to have a leadership role. We will have Co-Captains as well as event and novice captains. You will need to print off or save the form and share it with the speech account or email it by April 10th.

REMINDERS

There will be NO PRACTICE on THURSDAY, March 19th as we will NOT be ATTENDING the tournament in ROSEVILLE on Saturday.

We will be meeting on MONDAY, March 23rd to wrap the season and discuss the future of speech.  This will help you prepare for the next season through the summer.  THERE WILL BE TREATS! :)

Sections are Coming!

Wednesday we will be going to the Section Tournament at Armstrong High School!

You will be dismissed from school at 1:00 at VV and EHS and 1:20 at SV.  The bus will first pick up students at EHS and VV at door 7 at 1:15 PM.  We will then go to SV and pick you up at 1:35.

All students must turn in on Monday if they have not done so a copy of their script and original source.  All events are 8 minutes in length with the exception of EXR, EXS, STY.  There are NO grace periods. 

There will be concessions available for purchase at the tournament for supper.  The tournament runs long.  Please expect that we will be home around 10:30 PM.

This tournament will be running two tournaments simultaneously.  If you qualified for semifinals the day before then you will be pulled from the Eagan Tournament and only compete in the Semis of Quals.  If you did not break to Semis or you are not in an NFL event and did not compete on the previous day then you are entered in the Eagan Tournament.

Qualification Tournament on Friday, March 13

Location: Friday will take place at Normandale Community College and Saturday will take place at Eagan High School

We will once again hold our tournament in conjunction with Central MN NSDA in order to maximize our judge use in each round. Please make sure that you check the schedules of both districts each round for any judge assignments.
Friday Location: Normandale Community College located at 9700 France Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55431. Our site host is Mike Wartman. 
Saturday Location: Eagan High School located at 4185 Braddock Trail, Eagan, MN 55123. We will be holding the semifinals and finals concurrently with the running of the Eagan Wildcat. 

This is a very long day.  Please bring water, snacks, money for concessions and a lunch if you did not order Davanis through the google form.

Practice for 3/9 and 3/12

Here is a link to the practice schedule for this week. Remember that you should sign up for sessions on Thursday. If you are going to the qualifying tournament on Friday, you can sign up for two sessions, but if not, you should only claim one slot. If there are spots left over, we can fill them on Thursday.

EFOF

EFOF has done so much for our team this year.  They have subsidized trip cost for the traveling portion of the season, they have paid for consulting time with Bob Ickes for the Oratory students, and they plan and facilitate the banquet at the end of the year. 

This season we have not had as many families support EFOF and as we are looking ahead we want to invite Bob to return next fall to work with Orators and travel a few times in the fall, but we won't be able to do that if we don't support the booster club.
